The BlueWater Canyonline canyoneering rope features a 100% Technora Aramid sheath. This sheath helps provides cut resistance against sharp rocks and other sharp objects. The Canyonline has a cabled core that is designed to elongate in the event of an accidental shock load. This provides the user with a higher margin of safety and reduces the impact force generated in the system. The Canyonline has a 6,400 lbf tensile strong which is unique for a rope with a 9 mm diameter. This rope works well with all descenders even in wet conditions. However, we still recommend canyoneering using a descender that allows for increased friction and safety. We highly recommend the Hoodoo Descender / Belay device
