VT Prusik

We offer the BlueWater VT Prusik in tan and black.  We have the tan in 7 mm & 8 mm and the black VT prusik in 8 mm. The VT prusik is a multiple purpose friction hitch which can be used for ascending a rope, passing a knot, hauling, descending a loaded rope, and many other purposes.  It is a must have for canyoneering and rock climbing.  One of the best uses of the VT prusik is using it as a self-belay when descending a rope.  This is great especially for the first person descending the rope on a rappel since there isn’t anyone below to belay them.

The prusik has a Technora aramid sheath over durable nylon strands that provides it with a high level of heat resistance. It also has a kernmantle design that keeps the VT prusik from flattening & binding.
